RF and Microwave

RF and Microwave fixtures for the communications and satellite industries are our specialty at Design Right. We understand the critical nature of proper impedance match for RF connections, cabling and waveguide. We provide RF shielding to the text fixture so that multiple fixtures can be operated in close proximity.

Wide temperature, Life Test

Elevated and sub zero temperature fixtures are available as stand alone units that have internal heaters, coolant valves and controls or as fixtures designed to operate in temperature chambers. In many cases, multi-head fixtures can be incorporated to speed throughput and maximize test equipment utilization.

Bed of Nails

Building reliable fixtures very accurately requires an accurate layout procedure and the proper choices of pins and mechanisms. We work with machining companies who are able to take your Gerber files directly into the numeric control (NC) machine to exactly replicate the pin placement. If higher frequencies are needed, coaxial pins are used to handle 1-2 GHz products. Bi-level, top or side access fixtures can be accommodated for testing multiple cards products with daughter cards installed.

Fixture Plus!

DRI also provides vision and mechanical actuators as part of the fixture for special positioning and button pushing operations. In addition, bar code scanning and laser marking can be incorporated into the test fixture. Various types of shielding is available for RF or safety concerns. All fixtures are designed to be robust for minimum down time and reduced maintenance.
